Event Overview
In this session, we’ll explain how the updated University of Edinburgh Campus Map was created using the ArcGIS platform. Previously the online Campus Map was presented as a Google Map with a number of pins to show the location of UoE buildings, cafes, bike stores etc.
With a focus on sustainable transport, a new Campus Map was created using the latest geospatial technology available. The new Campus Map combines data from a number of different sources that were carefully checked to ensure completeness and accuracy and presents the information in a user friendly interface. The Campus Map is available at: https://www.ed.ac.uk/maps/maps
