Event Overview

In this workshop you will learn what is meant by an Intended Learning Outcome (ILO) and discover the essential qualities of a ‘well written’ ILO.

We will then look at how to practice improving ILOs using what you have learnt, see how to build ILOs to fit the context of a course/programme (including assessment) and work collectively on critiquing and improving any ILOs offered by the workshop participants.

This workshop will be interactive with practical exercises in improving ILOs, working collectively on ILOs offered by participants (feel free to bring these along), and Q/A throughout.

The session will be run by Tracey Madden, Learning Technology Advisor, and Ed Lithgow, Learning Technology Support Officer, both from the Educational Design and Engagement team.
