Event Overview
This presentation discusses the threat landscape for 2022, providing an overview of attack trends and what we may expect to see over the coming year. The importance of being aware threats can originate from a wide range of external and internal sources is highlighted, noting that threats are not always initiated by an anonymous hacker.

About the presenter - Garry Scobie
Garry is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and is featured in the Global Top 100 Leaders in Information Security published by Corinium Global Intelligence.
A regular presenter of various aspects of computer security within the University, he is also appearing again this year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with his show “My neighbour hacked my toothbrush”, highlighting the dangers of internet connected devices in the home. His cybercrime thriller, The Kill Chain, is due to be published by Darkstroke in the summer.
