Event Overview

ThingLink is an authoring tool for creating immersive learning experiences. It allows educators to create interactive ‘scenes’ using a variety of content such as video, audio and polls, without the need for extensive training or technical skills. Educators can make learning more active, engaging and fun with infographics, scenarios, 3D models and more.

This session will provide an overview of ThingLink’s capabilities, how it works, how to create one, and how to make it open and accessible. There will be a demo of some examples, and participants will have a go at creating their own, and conclude with a feedback and Q&A session.

Duration: 45 mins

  • 15 mins – Presentation.
  • 20 mins – Activity: Create Your Own ThingLink.
  • 10 mins – Activity Feedback and Q&A.

About the presenter - Lizzie Garner-Foy

Lizzy Garner-Foy is an Instructional Designer in the Online Course Production Service. She is passionate about promoting active learning, creative approaches to teaching, and educational media production. She supports academic teams to design, develop and build courses across multiple platforms.
