Event Overview
Microsoft OneNote is a free-form digital notetaking and information gathering tool that allows you to keep all your notes in one handy digital notebook, accessible anytime, anywhere via Microsoft’s web, desktop and mobile apps.
You can add handwritten notes, text notes, audio recordings, screenshots, file attachments and much more to your notebook, which can also be shared with others. OneNote Online is available to all University of Edinburgh members of staff and students via the University’s Office 365 subscription and is perfect for recording lectures and meeting notes.
This short course will introduce you to the basics of Microsoft OneNote Online and will cover:
- What OneNote Online is and how to access it
- Creating and saving a new notebook
- Adding notes including text, audio recordings, files, and meeting details to a notebook
- Structuring a notebook by adding new pages and sections, and moving content
- Viewing, printing, and sharing a notebook with others
- Help and support resources for OneNote
This introductory level course is suitable for all members of staff in all roles and students. There are no prerequisites for this event, and it assumes no prior knowledge or experience using Microsoft OneNote Online.
