Event Overview

We all deserve to be connected online safely. Recently, there have been reports of attacks on online meetings. While the onus for these attacks lies 100% with the perpetrators, MVM arranged a short training session with Information Security on preventative measures to protect individuals attending online events and meetings. On the back of the success of the original session, we thought we would bring it back for the Digital Skills Festival.

This session aims to help us all protect ourselves to the greatest extent possible from similar attacks, and we hope it will provide some reassurance to all who want to feel more secure communicating and running events online.

We will share top security tips for each of the main platforms that are available for use across the University and there will be an opportunity to ask questions throughout.

Please see the infosec webpages ( for more information.
