Event Overview

This webinar will introduce you to automated and manual methods you can use to add subtitles (closed captions) to video or audio files you have uploaded to Media Hopper Create, helping to make them accessible. We’ll also give advice on how to optimise your recordings to ensure the highest quality audio, and therefore the best possible automatic subtitles. 

Learning Outcomes

Topics we’ll cover:

  • Background,
  • Subtitling pilots and projects and their findings,
  • Principles of good subtitling,
  • Ordering automatic captions via Media Hopper Create,
  • Editing and improving automatic caption files using Media Hopper Create’s integrated editor,
  • Creating subtitles by uploading a transcript and media to YouTube (where appropriate) and using their speech recognition and captioning service get captions files we can use in Media Hopper Create.

Pre-Requisites:

There are no pre-requisites required for attending this course.

No previous experience of subtitling is required to participate in these sessions.
