Event Overview
In this session, we will discuss the transition from University to hybrid or remote working. We will look at meeting etiquette, tools and techniques for building relationships, time management, work-life balance, wellbeing, tips on workspaces etc. The event focuses on students entering employment, but staff are also welcome to attend.
About the presenters - Rebecca Clay-Jones And Steve Norman
Rebecca is the Link Careers Consultant for the School of Chemistry and the School of Informatics. After completing an undergraduate degree in Drama, and working as an audio producer, Rebecca spent 15 years working in recruitment, HR consultancy and project management. An interest in training and coaching and empowering people to make informed choices about their working lives led to studying for the PG Dip in Career Guidance and Development at Edinburgh Napier University. Rebecca joined the Careers Service in 2021 following a role as a Careers Advisor at Queen Margaret University.
Steve is the Link Careers Consultant for the Business School. He is also leading on internationalisation in the Careers Service. Steve is a graduate in Politics, History and Sociology and also has a Diploma in Careers Guidance. In 2005 he undertook a secondment at the University of Auckland to develop the Careers Service’s website.
